Biography
Lou James (MNZM) received her Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy from the Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand in 1997. She has dedicated the last 14 years to oncology rehabilitation and has been teaching Physiotherapists, Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists in oncology rehabilitation since 2008.
Lou is the Founder and Executive Director of PINC & STEEL International and is responsible for the introduction of the PINC & STEEL, Next Steps and PaddleOn Cancer Rehabilitation Programs, which focus on the physical and mental wellbeing of people affected by cancer.
The programs are now available in 10 counties and have supported thousands of people. Lou has been recognized for her pioneering work in this field, most recently being appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the Queens New Years Honors List for services to people with cancer.
